As I’m sure you are aware, the General Services Administration (GSA) used your hard-earned tax payer dollars on a lavish conference in Las Vegas, costing a whopping $823,000. I know that taxpayers all over the country are outraged. At a time when the approval ratings of Washington are at an all-time low, I cannot believe top officials at the GSA would have the audacity to engage in such actions.
Tax day reminds us of the taxes we pay - local, state and federal all combined takes a bite out of your wallet. It begs the question: are we getting the most out of government? And what is the impact of taxes on job creation?
With Tax Day around the corner, we start to look at how much money is being taken out of our paychecks each month to pay for government spending. It reminds us that government programs and regulations are not free, but are paid for by your efforts and hard work.
